And today we're going to be talking about saints and goddesses you can call on for help when you're feeling alone, distressed or anxious.

Anyone can call on saints and goddesses for help. You don't have to be a Catholic or a pagan.

Saints are simply people who lived a holy life and have chosen to continue helping people from the other side.

Gods and goddesses might be regarded as myths, but they are powerful universal archetypes you can call on for strength and intervention.

So in order to be declared as saint, there must be evidence of two posthumous miracles.

Saints have been known to cure elements, physical disabilities and addictions.

People have had financial fertility and romantic miracles after calling on these mystical beings for intercession.

So today what we're going to be talking about are just some of the goddesses and saints you can call on for some of the universal feelings we all go through from time to time where we need strength or courage.

We need hope and healing.

Padre Pio who we've covered before on older shows, he's the mystic insane of the 20th century who was known for his digmata and many miracles such as healing the sick, by locating and psychic abilities.

But he was often riddled with self doubt and preferred to stay in the quiet sanctuary of his remote monastery.

It was only when he realized and accepted that his gifts weren't about him, but rather about others and being of service that he was truly able to step into the fullness of his light and share his gifts with the world.

So I'm just going to name a few during World War two, his monastery was running out of food to hand out to the poor and refugees.

Padre Pio left to go pray and returned with a basket of bread. He said he got from a passing stranger.

But just a few months later when the men were saying mass, one of the priests commented that they only had a handful of consecrated hosts left.

Yet the bowl that Padre Pio was using somehow never ran out.

Stories abound of his mystical powers and abilities to be in more than one place at the same time.

There's a story of a young woman Padre Pio was writing to offering her hope and prayer.
