Hey guys, this is Jacques. Welcome back to On Popular. I have Erica Rose back on the pod this week to talk about her crazy fucking appearance on below-deck sailing yacht with her husband Chuck. We get into it all. And this is actually her second time on the pod. So if you

didn't listen to our first interview, I actually suggest going back and listening to it at some point

when you get a chance, because we really got into like a lot of her, a lot of behind the scenes

stuff on reality TV, because people don't realize that Erica has been doing reality TV

for like over 15 years now, I think she was the original Bachelor villain, she's done VH1,

she's been on Bravo before, she's been on TLC, she has been on Dr. Phil, she had a very memorable

appearance on that and we gave a lot of just sort of behind the scenes on what it's like

to have been a reality star in that time period and then still be around today.

So very interesting.

Go back and have a listen to that and it gives you a different side of Erica, a very different side to the below deck side.

But yeah, but this time I really just had her on to talk about sailing yacht because it was so controversial and everyone has been talking about her and Chuck and all the drama.

And then our interview kind of went off the rails because it was just meant to be with Erica and then Chuck gate crashed halfway through, which was actually iconic.

And they started fighting with each other and then they were like totally in love again like five minutes later, and then it was sort of like a couple's therapy session, and there was a lot going on. I actually wish I had recorded the video for it, but I only have the audio, but it's fun and crazy. So, uh, that's a good one. And I did have a lot of other topics that I wanted to talk about, but I feel like

I'm just going to cut those and get to Erica sooner rather than later, because there was a lot

there. I did want to talk about how boring the Oscars are, and then Will Smith punched Chris Rock,

so I guess it's not boring. Movie-wise, it's boring. Like, I couldn't name one film at the Oscars in the last, like, 10 years.

The decline in the quality of these films is amazing. Like, they're all so, like, formula-based,

and just every single plot is, like, the same. It's like, oh, I'm, you know, disabled and oppressed,

and then I had some hardship, and people were mean, but then we kind of have this like happy ending. And it's just, like, they're more formulaic than a fucking housewives episode. And if you look at the Oscar films now and then you go back in like the 70s and you look at the Oscar films from there, which is kind of the golden age of Hollywood. Like, you compare the stuff

now to, like, Chinatown and the Godfather and everything. It's, like, crazy the decline in

the quality. Like, I can't watch any Oscar movie now. But, uh, Will Smith punching,

Mill Smith punching Chris Rock, because Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith.
