Summary
Surprise! On August 23, 2022 we welcomed into this crazy, but beautiful, world our precious baby girl! This episode of Midweek Rise Up is dedicated to all of my friends, family, and followers who had no idea I was pregnant since we kept it extremely private. In this episode I share a few reasons out of the many as to why we decided to take the route we did for these past 9 months.
Life is so precious. We get so boggled down with the noise of society. And if we’re not like society, then people think there’s something wrong. When in fact it should be the opposite. If you look like society you can’t impact it…you can’t influence it. Remove the external and societal pressure of what you’re expected to do when expecting. Motherhood is sacred, and truly so is privacy in today’s world.
Go rise up. || xx E

| 0:00.0 | Hey everyone, it's E and welcome to a new episode of Midweek Rise Up. I know it's been a hot |
| 0:06.3 | minutes since we've dropped an episode, but today's going to be fun. Usually we have a word |
| 0:12.4 | for the week, but we're taking a minor detour with this episode because I have gotten thousands |
| 0:18.1 | and thousands of messages about this topic and why Charlie and I decided |
| 0:22.6 | to do what we did by keeping my pregnancy extremely private. So this episode is dedicated to my |
| 0:28.5 | family, extended family, friends, and followers who are just finding out about our new baby girl |
| 0:35.5 | in real time all together. Let's dive right in. |
| 0:39.2 | Motherhood is an absolute blessing, and yes, children are a gift from the Lord. But I feel like |
| 0:44.9 | in today's society, motherhood and even marriage to some extent has turned into an idol. |
| 0:51.0 | And just hear me out on this. I'm not saying that everyone holds motherhood |
| 0:54.2 | and marriage as an idol in their heart. It's not what I'm saying. But the pressure that's put on |
| 0:59.6 | Christian women to find a husband, settle down, have kids is immense. We create almost like a |
| 1:07.2 | quarter life crisis for girls when they get to a certain age. And then once they |
| 1:11.3 | hit their 30s or a little bit above their 30s or almost into their 40s, they feel like if they |
| 1:16.2 | still haven't found the guy, had the kids, then they're running up against a ticking time clock |
| 1:21.0 | as well as their own biological clock. And some women aren't meant to be married. Maybe they've |
| 1:26.7 | chosen to live a life of celibacy. And maybe some women can't meant to be married. Maybe they've chosen to live a life of celibacy and maybe |
| 1:29.8 | some women can't have kids so instead they're adopting. Everyone's on their own unique journey. |
| 1:34.7 | And when it comes to the prevalent nature of time becoming a pressure trigger, we have to remember |
| 1:39.7 | that we serve a God who is the author and finisher of time. He knows the exact number of our days |
| 1:45.9 | and the exact desires of our heart. So if you fall into this category, just breathe deeply and know |
| 1:50.8 | that God's timing is always perfect, even when it makes absolutely no sense, his wisdom and knowledge |
