Summary

As we celebrate what God has done in our House in the past year, we also wanted to take a moment to pause, and remember Sabbath. Since creation in Genesis 2, God created a day of rest to reflect on what He created, and He invites us to remember His power, wisdom, and faithfulness. VERSES // Genesis 2:1-3, Proverbs 19:23, Psalm 127:1-2

0:25.0	And that is that we lean hard into Sabbath break every single year.
0:30.0	We do that at the end of the summer season, heading into the fall,
0:34.0	because we normally have a big mountain decline at the end of the year called Passion Conference.
0:40.0	And we love to stop, to rest, and to remember the faithfulness of God.
0:47.0	And the way that we're doing that practically already, you're figuring that out,
0:50.0	because either you join us online or you're part of our real community in D.C. or Atlanta,
0:56.0	and you're like, hey, we're not gathering on this particular Sunday or next Sunday.
1:00.0	The way that we put this together is that we are not meeting in person for two consecutive Sundays,
1:09.0	so that our entire house can just pause and remember that it is God who is building our house.
1:17.0	We're going to come back to that at the very end of our time together.
1:20.0	So we can just take a deep breath and realize that, yes, we have a role to play,
1:25.0	but everything God's wanting to do in D.C. and Atlanta, in our cities,
1:30.0	and in the world, and in our lives, it's not all up to us.
1:35.0	It's us doing our part, but the work that needs to be accomplished,
1:40.0	that's all up to the spirit of God.
1:45.0	And I love that we see that in the very opening of our story.
1:49.0	This is Genesis chapter 2, verse 1.
