Summary

The mother-daughter relationship is a complex one. Some of us have beautiful relationships with our mothers in which they are one of the most trusted people in our inner circle. However, what happens if you have a complicated, distant, or estranged relationship with your mother? What are the feelings that come up for you? How can you support a friend who does not have a close relationship with their mother? In this episode, Dr. Dom and Terri discuss Terri’s relationship with her mother and the steps she took to heal from the estrangement. “You can’t heal what you don’t reveal.”-Terri

Quote of the Day:
“In troubled families, abuse and neglect are permitted; it's the talking about them that is forbidden.”
-Unknown
