On the night of March 31, 2006, in Columbus, Ohio, an Ohio State medical student named Brian Schaefer went out to the bar with friends to celebrate the completion of his midterm exams and to kick off the beginning of his spring break.

Brian was scheduled to catch a flight with his girlfriend to go on vacation three days later.

But by the time the plane was scheduled aboard, Brian was nowhere to be found.

On the night Brian went missing, he was seen entering a bar called the Ugly Tuna on a surveillance video.

And that was the last time anyone has ever seen it.

It's now been 14 years since Brian's mysterious disappearance and no one has ever found so much as a clue as to his whereabouts.

But that's not for a lack of trying.

I'm joined today by a Columbus native, affectionately known to his audience, as the captain.

The captain and his friend Nick hosts an amazing podcast called True Crime Garage, and for years they continue to circle back to this case, hoping to find an answer.
