Hello this is Series 9 episode 2 of Out and I'm Susie Ruffin

First of all, thank you so much for all of you that got in touch after last week's episode with Zach

People are very happy that the podcast is back and that gives me so much joy. As you know I've been super busy and I've been trying to find a time to do it and I'm so pleased

that there was time but also like availability of people that I could interview and you know matching up people's diaries and

that my producer Emma could find the time to do it as well so thank you very much

for all your lovely messages it made me feel very special indeed. I've got another brilliant

episode today. It is with Adele Roberts and Kate Holdiness, who are a brilliant

couple, wonderful women who I loved spending time with. Kate is an actress and an illustrator and a writer and

Adele is also a writer but you'll also probably know her from lots of different TV

shows and from being a radio one DJ.

They recently wrote a book about Adele's experience with bowel cancer.

They wrote the book together and I wanted to chat to them about the book,

but also about a great many things and I think the conversation

is a really special one and I loved spending time with them so I really hope that you enjoy the

Hi Susie, I've just listened to this week's podcast with Zach and I wanted to say how much I enjoyed it.

The whole pod felt tailored to me almost to spooky levels. I'm a late blooming

ace lesbian and a member of the Green Party. Both emails at the beginning of the

episode made me feel validated. I can feel isolated in my newfound identity but your listeners made me feel seen and the interview

with Zach was so thoughtful and gently rallying it was just what I needed to hear.
