I'm Bob Run.

Six years ago, I started this show as a podcast about a podcast.

My guest today took a similar path.

Katie and Kimberly set out in 2017 to create a weekly podcast where they discuss and break down episodes of Date Line NBC.

And now, nearly four years later, they have climbed the iTunes charts, left their full-time careers behind,

and now make their living with their date with Date Line podcast.

Each episode comes complete with case details, a critique of the production, and a bit of snark and humor sprinkled in throughout.

Now, while we are discussing a serious and tragic case today, Katie, Kimberly and I do manage to have a little fun along the way.

So before warned, this episode will not be the most serious episode we've produced this season.

So if mixing in a little bit of humor while still discussing a true crime case is not your cup of tea, you might want to skip this one.

For the rest of you, I think we get into a lot of interesting information, and you're going to have a little fun throughout the journey.

Brian Ryan was a young veterinarian who moved to the small Montana town of Geraldine in 1996 to open his own private practice.

Tragically, on July 14th of that year, Brian was found dead in his home.

Police initially determined his death to be a suicide, causing them to make some critical errors in the first hours of the investigation.

As it turns out, Brian was most certainly murdered.

To this day, justice has never been served in his case.

This is season 9, episode 19, the case of the murder of Brian Ryan.
