The Viseria Ransacker, the East Area Rapist, the original Nightstalker, the Golden State Killer.

These are all monocurs attributed to one man, a man who terrorized the state of California for over a decade, and then seemed to disappear.

Joseph DiAngelo stalked, raped, and murdered both men and women from 1973 through 1986.

And then, he went about living his life.

Until one spring morning in 2018, when Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputies showed up at his house and arrested him.

32 years had passed by since DiAngelo's last known attack.

I can only imagine the surprise and shock that he must have felt when the police showed up at his doorstep.

How could they possibly have caught him all these years later?

The answer is Paul Holes.

Paul continued to work on the case at the point of obsession for years.

He was determined to identify this mystery attacker and to bring him to justice.

On August 21st of this year, Joseph DiAngelo finally answered for his heinous crimes.

He pled guilty to 13 counts of murder and 13 counts of kidnapping in order to avoid the death penalty.

He was sentenced to multiple consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole.

The reality is, Joseph DiAngelo will die in prison.
