Hello Lionel. Lionel, where's Richie? Where is Richie? Richid Moore is having a well-earned break after completing the double. He's done the Giro and the Tour.

As with you Daniel, of course you've done the Giro and the Tour. One for the podcast, one for ITV. Rich is having a week or two off.

And the Do for now. Of course. And the Holy Lent. A whole day in between that was more like an altitude training camp.

And where are you now? I'm in the back of the base.

Nice. Well, I'm in Not Watford as his customary. I've spent a lot of time here in the last 15 months or so.

I'm actually in my last day of quarantine, having been at the Tour de France briefly. I've had to quarantine at home for 10 days.

It's felt like a sort of indoor stage race. I don't know some kind of track world championships that's just gone on and on.

Looking forward to being released tomorrow in Walla. Unleashed that bike poised above your head, I can see.

You are going to be unleashed on the lanes of Not Watford.

I am. Yeah, it's hanging on the wall behind me. I shall be going out to do my two hour flat loop tomorrow morning as I escape from quarantine.

Walla, I've been in quarantine. Heart rate zone one. If I'm lucky. I mean zone, zone north is my default.

So if we get it up to zone one, that would be that would be progress. Yeah, while I've been in quarantine, I've had more negative tests and last hamstrong.

So I have been waiting for that one. But here we are. The Tour de France has finished.

We're looking ahead to the Olympic Games, which kick off. We hope at the weekend. There's a little bit of uncertainty about that.

There were some rumors yesterday that the Olympics in Tokyo might be cancelled at extremely short notice.

But I think the officials have kind of rode back from that position a little bit and they're pressing on.

So the road races will be at the weekend. But in this episode, we'll mostly look back at the Tour de France.

And here, Daniel, your reflections of the tour. You are obviously there for the four three weeks for television, seeing a very different side of the race to those of us working for the podcast.

And certainly in my case, spending two thirds of the race watching at home on television, seeing a side of the race that I'm not all that familiar with.

You see a lot more of the cycling when you're at home. The only downside is that every afternoon, sort of two o'clock, I'd stroll outside, expecting a big, tressal table to be set up with some salami and some pate and salads and a bit of local wine.
