It was Christmas Eve, 2002.

Lacey Peterson was 8 and a half months pregnant with a baby boy that she had already named Connor.

The only information that we have about Lacey's movements on that morning come from her husband Scott,

the man that was later convicted of murdering her and their unborn son, and sentenced to death.

Scott tells police that he left the house around 9.30 a.m., and Lacey was alive and well,

watching Martha Stewart on TV.

Three and a half months later, Lacey and Connor's bodies were discovered by a couple out walking their dog in a marshy area of the San Francisco Bay Shore.

This one is a mysterious case that could seem like it has an obvious solution at times, but from another perspective,

some might say that there is no actual evidence indicating that Scott is the murderer.

I'm going to tell you right now that you're not about to hear a whole lot of case details in this episode.
