I'm standing ankle deep in warm muddy water surrounded by tall reeds, buzzing insects,

and the calls of herons and ducks echoing over the lagoon.

Mexico is a big country that connects North America with Central America.

It's full of mountains, deserts, and where I am, sprawling marshes and shallow lakes.

Did you hear that, Earth Rangers?

I bet those are some very familiar honks.

That's right, Rangers. Today, I'm here with one of the most

impressive athletes in the animal kingdom, the Canada Goose. Now, the Canada Goose isn't

exactly flashy. Its feathers are a dull gray brown, it has a chunky little body, and it's definitely not

winning any singing contests.

But in spring, when a flock of geese lifts off, flapping hard and honking in unison,

they can migrate up to 8,000 kilometers in a single year.
