This is John Batchel, a conversation with my colleague Bob Zimmerman about the IPO for SpaceX soon enough

and how it's getting great attention for all of the space travel engineering, low-earth orbit, Earth-moon system, endeavors.

The private enterprise, however, has exploded not just in the U.S., globally.

And of all things, a French company looking to participate in taking cargo to and from

all of the new commercials, space stations that are planned and are underway building right now.

France, a very difficult place to have a startup, I'm told over

the years. Taxes, regulations, and the way we do things is similar to my family for 400 years.

What are you kidding? That's sort of joking in France. And now a startup in France for cargo carrying. Straightforward. Good idea. Here's Bob.

The exploration company, it's a French company, it's developing a Nix cargo capsule to bring

supplies to these many space stations. Well, it did a drop test of a prototype,

Nick's dummy capsule from a helicopter,

and that was a success.

They demonstrated their parachute systems of work.

This is a capsule that's going to go up, bring cargo,

and like dragon come back, bring cargo back.

And they hope to launch and do a test flight to ISS in 28,

and their drop test was a success, John.
