I'm John Batchelor. I welcome Henry Sikolsky, the executive director of the Non-Proliferation Policy Education

Center, the NPT, drawn up in 68 to 70 in effect since 1970, and yet every few years, I believe

every four or five years, they come together the signatories for review and perfection.

Right now, we're at the end of a review process at the

United Nations in Manhattan. And we're expecting no major contest. That is, nobody's going to walk

out of the room, tear the document up, declare the whole organization a sham, that's sort of

his genetics. Instead, what we're looking for is agreement. Why?

Because there's large disagreement in the world. Henry, a very good evening to you. Let's start

with the major disagreement that's pressing right now, the Iran War. As I understand it, one of the

non-negotiable demands by the United States looking for

peace in the Straits of Armuse is that the Iranians must permit the complete removal and permanent

inspection of their nuclear weapons program, suspect. Also, access to whatever they've achieved in terms of ballistic missiles.

Also, they must stop attacking their neighbors.

Also, they must reopen the Straits of our moves.

But let's hang with just the nuclear part.

That is very unlikely to happen.
