Gordon Chang about the quandary of trade. President of the United States traveling to Beijing

in these next days to talk trade to China knowing, confirming that China is supplying, is backing up,

is paying for, is transferring technology to Iran at war with the United States and Israel over the suspect nuclear weapons

program, among other complaints. So, trading with the enemy while the enemy is trading with the

enemy. It's a quandary and it cannot easily be solved. Gordon believes that Mr. Trump is approaching

it in the correct fashion, putting up a stiff arm in front of China

and saying no more. We look forward to the results of this meeting. Here's Gordon to explain.

It makes sense if you can get away with it, and so far previous presidents have allowed the

Chinese to get away with it, because we've seen that China's transplanted its nuclear

weapons program to Iran. It's helped the North Korean sell all sorts of missiles to Iran,

including the components for an intercontinental ballistic missile, the Wasong 15.

So, yes, the Chinese will continue to do this until they're stopped. And President Trump is

stopping them. So this is the time where a lot of bad policy has now culminated, and we've got to

do something about it. And it's going to shake a lot of trade-dependent

economies, especially China, because China has been never more trade-dependent in its history
