of Venezuela where the vote is in the near future, and it's also in the recent past. The vote was for

president. In 2024, there was an election held in Venezuela. You will recall a man named

Maduro, who is now detained by the federal authorities,

along with his wife, for narco terrorism, gang warfare, just a general bad actor. He led a

re-election campaign that surprisingly came from behind and took the presidency away from the man who was

actually elected, as the

voting booths were monitored from outside by well-meaning authorities, including the United

States of America. The actual winner of that election is a man named Gonzales. He's a member

of the opposition. You will recall Ms. Machado, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in these last

weeks, was the leader of the opposition, but was prevented from running for president by order of

the Maduro government. Everything's changed, but nothing's changed since then. Maduro's gone,

but his government looks to be in place, led by Delcey Rodriguez and her brother Jorge Rodriguez,

a family affair.
