A beautiful spring, Easter weekend, and now into a week of rain and dryness, rain and dryness,

as the flowers are growing. The daffodils are everywhere,

and we expect the lilies and the gardenias, and certainly all of the big flowers to follow.

However, we're attending to the flowering of the Federal Reserve. That's right. It's been a melodrama

for months now about who and what and when. Now the Federal

Reserve and it's comparable, its opposite in Europe, the European Central Bank, are the front

line to fight something that might be inevitable, but you have to anticipate something can be

done. That's inflation. Liz, a very good evening to you inflation. A random headline

in the Wall Street Journal, oil jumps after U.S. raises the temperature. U.S. oil futures climbed

more than and then fill in the blank, whatever the incident is. My report to you is that in the south

of France, a town called Alba, medieval village, 800 years old easily, there are two pumps and both have lots of diesel in them.

But a sign at the top reads capped at 2.20 euros, which is a liter, which is the equivalent of about $9 a gallon in American terms, capped.

And talking to Germany, I learned the same price is $2.20.

That's it.

Meaning the states have already moved to subsidize diesel fuel.

Now, in France, the reason for this is this is farm country.

This is national rally.

And they're facing an election in which Marine Le Pen and his party is going to be

ride to this victory on the basis of the farm belt.
