But we're looking to the time before the colonies were organized in a sovereign fashion.

Because of a court case that came to my attention and a conversation with Mary and

Anastasia O'Grady of the Wall Street Journal court case is in British Columbia, Cowichan Tribes versus Canada.

And if I understand, this is about who has the original title of the land.

In this instance, 800 acres in what Richmond, British Columbia, south of Vancouver.

And the court's decision, vouchsafed by the premier of the province, is that the Cowichan

tribe has original title, and that those who own land or administer the land on

Cowichan land must acknowledge that when and if it happens. It hasn't

happened yet. But there is suggestion here that this is something that Canada itself is dealing
