headlines that are changing the focus of the day, but then again, we're under no particular timeline here. There are many timelines flowing. For example, London is reporting Israeli strike shut down crucial Iranian petrochemical plan in the South Pars field. Vital industry sites and export revenue sources hit, writes the F.T. As Tehran threatens

to respond, quote, crushingly to Trump ultimatum. And then we go to Jerusalem reporting on

Donald Trump. Trump says Iranian reply to ceasefire offer, not good enough. The ceasefire offer, we

understand, was passed via Pakistan to the United States to set up a 45-day or a 30-day or any kind

of ceasefire while the two sides negotiate. That is now rejected, according to this

headline by the president, and it adds, Tuesday deadline for deal says the president is final.

Edmund, what we're dealing with now is a deadline that the president established in these last

hours. For 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 7th,

there is no indication that the IRGC, the state within a state now in charge of security and

defense of Iran, is going to acknowledge or concede to that deadline. We're then faced with the threat the president is made.

What is your measure of threats? Do they work generally in the Middle East, or do they fail

generally, or is it a mixed record? Good evening to you.
