I'm John Batchler. I welcome my colleague and friend, Thadis McHotter, writing an American greatness,

and we're pleased to welcome Kevin Fraser, writing at Civitas Outlook for Civitas Institute.

Kevin is a fellow for the University of Texas Law School, commenting again and again on the artificial

intelligence phenomenon and the eagerness, willingness,

endeavor of legislatures, both state legislatures and national legislature, the Congress,

to first learn about what AI is and then to look to guardrails.

That's a metaphor for regulation. And right now we're looking

at Kevin's recommendation for AI going forward. Embrace AI is the general headline, which is a fair way

of saying if you are going to regulate it, you have to have experience with what it can do

for yourself, for your constituents, and for the nation. Kevin, a very good day to you. I'd like a

general statement to your understanding right now about embracing AI. It has been my experience

for some time, and I've repeated this to you, that I find it true again and again that those of us

who use it routinely have no anxiety whatsoever. It's a tool. It's a tool like the internet.

It's a tool like the typewriter. It's a tool. And yet, legislatures again and again come up

against it as if it is a challenge to their authority.

Is that changing, that general attitude?

Is it is embracing AI becoming more attractive?
