He heads the Turkey program looking at the very powerful military and political voice in Asia Minor, Turkey.

And what is reported to be an effort to end the fighting in and around the Gulf, especially when it comes to the worldwide fear of the state of

Hormuz remaining shot and the global catastrophe spreading quickly to the least among us.

Food security, medical security, and in terms of the economies, the very marginal economies are under great pressure

right now, not only because of the oil, but because of that fertilizers that's trapped in the

Gulf. We have to move this story, and Turkey's mission to end the war is admirable, but there

are other concerns. Sit on a very good evening to you.

Mr. Erdogan does not face election again until 2028.

Therefore, he has room to maneuver,

and some of his policies are the strongman policies.

In this instance, though, he's presenting a peaceful gesture to the world,

a member of NATO in the neighborhood,

certainly long experience with Iran and Tehran.

So what is the chief driver of his effort to intervene in some fashion

to enter into the conversation over the Iran War?

Well, Adelon's kind of against a rock and a hard place because, you know, there are very few avenues in the Iran War which are directly beneficial to Adelan's political future and to Turkey's direct national interest. Turkey neighbors Iran directly. It is deeply worried about

the potential for refugee flows. It is worried about being struck by Iranian missiles. There have

been four attempts thus far. And each of them were intercepted by USceptors.

It is also worried about the economic fallout from this,

and that toll is already mounting very high on Erdogan's ledger.
