Ernesto Arusha, former foreign minister

of the Republic of Brazil. He's traveling in Africa. Alejandro Pini Asclusa. He's traveling in Europe,

a member of the opposition in Venezuela. Ernesto, the polling indicates that Lula de Silva's

confidence for a fourth term is no longer well advised.

The candidate challenging him is, to my knowledge, a junior politician until now,

Flavio Bolsonaro, the son of the former president who is very sickly ill from the original

assassination attempt many years ago.

But his son was never seen as national scale until now.

The polls indicate it's a tie.

What do we need to know about Flavio?

So, John, well, personally, I hope Flavio is the next president of Brazil.

But yes, he was a state legislator in Rio de Janeiro for a long time and was elected to the Senate back in 2018, the same year that his father, Jaya, was elected to the presidency.

And he was always the most politically discreet of the three eldest Bolsonaro's sons who are in politics. Well, now

there's a fourth one too, but. And, well, on the one hand, I always had very good contacts with

him when I was a minister for

foreign affairs. Flavio supported a lot, by the way, the foreign policy that I tried to implement

of insertion of Brazil in the Western alliance, an alliance with the U.S., an alliance with Israel,

and other elements.

But he, yes, he was not, he had a different profile from variable Sonaro, much more, let's say, soft spoken. He didn't have that sort of more aggressive attitude in the good sense that his father has. And the other son,
