Within these last days, Henry, a report from Taiwan that the leadership there has decided

because of the vagaries of Middle Eastern oil going forward indefinitely. They depend upon it.

They're going to reawaken their nuclear power plants.

One of them on cold shutdown, I understand, one not completed.

That was determined to be shut down after the Fukushima disaster of 2011.

Is this a trend, Henry, or one-off?

I think it's an act of desperation

and it'll have a lot of countries

reach for, and I say

desperation. In the case of Taiwan,

for example,

completing that plant

is estimated to take

very large

billions of dollars.

It's not a cheap ticket. It also will take a lot of time.

Even restarting the one they shut down is not going to be a walk in the park. But you need a

narrative that you're doing something against a crisis. And I suppose this is a good political

story. I don't think it's going to solve the

vulnerability of the electrical supply system in Taiwan. That would require real heavy lifting.

I mean, I visited there with other people who were connected to the government. And, you know, this was way back in 2016 a decade ago.
