Lebanon, headline, last hours, Israel.

Katz, that's the defense minister.

Katz says Israel will hold, quote, security zone in Lebanon until Hezbollah threat removed.

Two pieces of this.

The Hezbollah threat and the Lebanon government. I have heard that

the Lebanon government is now in a position to enforce disarmament and perhaps elbowing Hezbollah

out of the country. I have also heard that the Lebanon government is not going to enforce anything.

They're hiding under their chairs.

Can you help me here?

Yeah, John, I think the Lebanese government is still at odds with itself.

Specifically, there is a Speaker of Parliament, Nabi Berry, who is opposed to taking any action

that would force his Bala to disarm and to retreat or to perhaps

even have them removed from the country.

What we're watching right now is actually an ongoing slow motion operation by the Israelis.

They have struck in the heart of Beirut, in the Dahi neighborhood, which is the stronghold

of his Bala.

That's been going on now for several weeks since almost the beginning of this war with Iran.

Now we're watching a very different operation take place where the Israelis are striking the bridges,

connecting north Lebanon to south Lebanon, spanning the Latani River.

What this is going to do is to cut off Hisbalah's southern stronghold, the areas where

hisbalah's been firing at Israel, at villages, as well as military posts. They are not going to be
