This is John Batchelor. I learned from Gregory Cople just back from Britain that the King's

calendar has changed in his visit to the United States at the 250th anniversary of the founding

of the Republic. Rather than July 4th, the King is due in late April and will address joint

session of Congress. And there is expectation that perhaps the king can mitigate

the extreme tension that's built up between the head of United States government and state,

that's Donald Trump, and the head of state of Great Britain, that's Kirstarmer. Gregory explains.

More of this tonight. King Charles is a third

report. Yes, it has. And by the way, the book is not about constitutional monarchy, but the lessons

which constitutional monarchies can offer to modern governance. And that's been particularly

evidence since King Charles came to the throne in Britain, in that he's been

able to undertake complex diplomacy at a strategic level without getting into political differences.

And inevitably, there was going to be a political difference between the nationalistic politics of President Donald Trump

and the globalist, utopianist socialism of Prime Minister Kirstama in the United Kingdom

with his Labour government.

So the United States and Britain have been at odds for the last couple of years, or 18 months

or so, in particular, and King Charles was going to help to resolve that, and President Trump

was anxious that he'd do so. Initially, President Trump was going to have him in Washington for the July 4th celebrations.

That's now been changed in the last couple of days.

The King and Queen Camilla will go to Washington, but in late April, in other words, next month to Washington.

They'll spend several days there, and on April 27 in other words, next month to Washington, they'll spend several days there,

and on April 27th, they are apparently scheduled to,

or the King is scheduled, to address a joint session of Congress,
