I'm John Batchel. I welcome my good colleague, Bill Rajo, senior fellow for the Foundation for

Defense of Democracy, Iran War, and it involves Iraq. So we welcome our colleague, Joe Trusman,

of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy, who introduced this to an organization

that is fresh to me, but I will learn. It's called the Iraqi resistance, the Iraqi resistance,

I-R-I. They put in the word Islamic there, but we know it's Iraq. However, I don't know what it is.

Joe, a very good evening to you. I'm sorry I missed the development of something with an acronym

as short as I-R-RI. But I was always educated

to watch for the Hezbollah brigades of Iraq. They are an army with very good equipment

and many capabilities that suggest they're better than the Iraqi army. What is the Islamic

resistance of Iraq? Good evening, too.

Good evening. So the Islamic resistance in Iraq is effectively, it's a front organization

for Iran-backed militias. So established militias in Iraq, like Hezbole of Brigades, as you mentioned, and other militias in Iraq have created or operate under this umbrella group, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq.

And they also use it to create front organizations that claim attacks against the United States and Israel.

So this is effectively what the Islamic resistance in Iraq is.

So the claim that they brought down the tanker where Six died in a accident several days past,

that is typical of them.

They'll claim anything around them and let everybody else figure it out?

Pretty much.

I think, well, you know, there are some, there are attacks that are genuine.

But in this case with the tanker, I think what they're doing is what they did was take advantage of the significant event that had happened,

this tanker going down to Iraq, and promoting their

theory or their, that they did this, their response before the attack, which I actually
