Evan, a very good evening to you. the news of the death of a drug lord led to the closing

of airports and airspace, the delay or cancellation of airplanes across southwest U.S.

in New Mexico.

And what we're told is raging gunfire, buses set on fire, traffic jams,

fear throughout Mexico, not just in the north, along the border. Is this something that's

happened before because it's been treated within 48 hours as if there's nothing unusual here.

It certainly gives the impression that Mexico is anarchic.

Well, certainly the killing of El Mentiono Nemesio Geraservantes was basically the most

wanted person in Mexico.

You know, his cartel, Helisco No de Generations, is the cartel which really has rivaled

Sinolaoa is the two big ones that operate internationally that import precursor chemicals

from China, not only for fentanyl, but for other synthetic drugs that go largely to Europe,

has been involved in the illegal gas trade and the cocaine trade, working with different

European mafias and groups as far away as Brazil's first capital command, has been involved

in violence across the country. And so really, its kind of extension throughout Mexico was reflected in the fact that after

his killing, you had roadblocks and bus burnings and things like that, not only in his home
