I'm John Batson. My colleague and co-host, Bill Rajo, senior fellow for the Foundation for Defense of Democracy,

keeps the Long War Journal. And we welcome Ahmed Sharrari of the FD to reporting for us on the

very dangerous and extremely non-transparent Syria. Bill, you have a question for Ahmed.

Ahmed, the Trump administration is withdrawing forces from Syria.

It's planning on withdrawing U.S. troops from its largest base in northeastern Syria,

and it's withdrawn from the Al-Tanth based in eastern Syria near the Jordanian border.

Obviously, one of the biggest concerns from a counterterrorism perspective is the

tens of thousands of Islamic state detainees that are being held. What what is happening?

What does this all mean for the tens of thousands of terrorists and their family members

who are who have or are continually

being held at the places like the all hot hall prison camp um i mean it's i mean things have been

moving very rapidly over the past month when it comes to northeast

Syria and the U.S. presence and these ISIS camps.

But Al Hul has been officially closed as of yesterday.

The families that lived there, there was about 23,000 people, according to the latest estimates.

They've all been transported outside of the camp.

Foreign families that were, what we call the ISIS brides were released.

Local sources claim that foreign fighters inside the Syrian army actually smuggled these families outside of

the camps and took them to Idlib, the area where Ahmed Ashah, the current president, used

to rule when he was head of high at the Heir Shamm, HDS.

And so, and since Saturday after ISIS said that it will restart operations, there's been

multiple attacks against the Syrian government.
