I'm John Bachelor. I welcome my colleague and friend Gregory Copley, editor and publisher of defense and foreign affairs, to comment on the big picture right now.

communications, even among allies. Bloomberg reporting, this is remarks by the Prime Minister

of Denmark. The U.S. President threatened to impose new tariffs from February 1st,

writes Bloomberg, on the eight

North Atlantic Treaty Organization allies that are sending military personnel to

Greenland, that are escalating tensions between Washington and Europe, concludes Greenland.

Danish Prime Minister met to Frederikson on Tuesday, warned, Europe would have to respond if

the tariffs are implemented, and that there could be major consequences on both sides of the

Atlantic. If a trade war is launched, said the Prime Minister, which I cannot recommend, then we

must, of course, respond. We would be forced to do so, she said, during a Q&A. I hope we do not

get to that point. I hope that we succeed in convincing the Americans that this is not the path

we should take. Gregory, I come to you because for some time you've been carefully outlining

to me that at the bottom of this is NATO that no longer has a mission

and that NATO might be over before it recognizes it's over.
