I'm John Batchelor in southern New England where the weather has turned winter.

With 61 days to go to springtime, there were not one, not two, but three different snows today from different directions.

Not heavy, quite happy if you don't have to shovel them, and easy on the sole, even shoveling.

I have my new snowblower with headlights, so it was an exciting event the first time the second time it became a little

icier and now that there's snow coming in tonight i'm thinking maybe i'll let this go till the

morning jeremy wonderful to speak to you because you're in summertime and don't i miss it

Giday, John. Well, I wish I could say we were in a proper summertime, and it was beautiful weather out there. We're having barbecues by the beach and enjoying truly beautiful weather.

But unfortunately, I cannot say that we're in a summer like no other. We are in a summer that

right now is full of severe storms lashing the

East Coast right here and now. Storms coming from the eastern side of the continent, so not the

western side as normal, which means they are ferocious. They've got high winds. They've got very,

very heavy rains. And there is a lot of thunderstorms, electrical storms around, which means all that dry

bushland out there that's been dried off by really severe heat that we had two weeks ago

is starting to catch fire as well. So John, we're having a really, really severe storm. And then
