This is John Batchel, speaking to the historian and professor Richard Bell, his new book, The American Revolution

and the fate of the world, scene after scene of revolutionary fervor from different points

of view, fresh points of view. And in this particular instance, it's the point of view of

a woman who marries Benedict Arnold, Peggy, Peggy Shippin of Philadelphia,

a young and beautiful woman, blonde hair, extremely attractive to men. She winds up deciding

Benedict Arnold, Governor General of Philadelphia, war hero, is her man. And on the day he is caught betraying his country and flees,

there is a scene that clearly was written in heaven,

and we have it to entertain us now.

What we know of the scene from the point of view of

the men who came to arrest Benedict Donald and found the beautiful Peggy having just given birth to

a child in her nightgown in the headquarters at West Point, the residence next to the headquarters.

And Peggy on stage is much more of this than the new book.
