The New World Report with my good colleagues Ernest Aruj,

former foreign minister of the Republic of Brazil,

and Alejandro Pina Excluza,

Venezuela and geopolitical thinker and writer,

now traveling in Europe,

just back from the celebration

of the Nobel Peace Prize

being awarded to the leader of the opposition

to the Maduro regime in Caracas,

Maria Kuchina Machado.

And what we're looking at here is a whole people celebrating a Nobel Prize because we're

at the edge of Venezuela being transformed into the state it was before.

Rich, democratic, transparent, and extremely minding of the future for its children.

That has not been true for many years since a man named Chavez took it over

and passed it on to his chosen dictator, Nicholas Maduro.

The fleet remains off Venezuela. But we need to know what Venezuelans won,

which is why I'm asking Alejandro's help here. Alejandro, congratulations. It was a wonderful

celebration of a peace prize that comes to Maria Karina Machado, but really belongs to, as she acknowledges, all the Venezuelan people.
