Summary

The November episode of The Cycling Podcast Féminin, with Orla Chennaoui, Rose Manley and Richard Moore, takes a look back at the recent races, discusses a controversial finish at Driedaagse De Panne, some interesting tactics at the Tour of Flanders and the late, late show at the Ceratizit Madrid Challenge, which finally ended the season.

There are interviews with the winner in Madrid, Lisa Brennauer, Italian champion Elisa Longo Borghini and Leah Thomas, who discusses her move to Movistar. Lizzy Banks, a former teammate of Thomas's at the ill-fated Équipe Paule-Ka, has also moved, to Ceratizit-WNT, and we hear from her.

Finally, Hannah Ludwig, of Canyon-SRAM, tells us about her 1,000km ride from Brittany back home to Germany after the Tour de Bretagne was cancelled.

And Aura Loh, Dad Jokes, Shinnewee, Aura Loh. Hello, hello, Hi Aura Wai.

1:02.1

Very well, Aura Loh should explain that you, um, the, well that was a terrible joke that you cracked just before we started recording.

1:10.1

Oh, you loved it, really. You loved it. I actually banged my knee when I finished the joke which wasn't good. I banged it on the kitchen.

1:17.1

Oh, karma. Are you going to explain the bad joke or are we just going to leave it like that?

1:21.1

Go on then. Well, we count down, don't we? To starting recording. I'm notoriously bad at counting down.

1:28.1

Yes, Richard said he's really bad at counting backwards. And I said, well I'm really good at counting backwards.

1:34.1

And Richard was like, well that's not much of a boast. So I turned my back to the camera and counted one, two, three, four.

1:39.1

It was hilarious. I'm going to backwards. And then I bang my knee as I swung back around again in sort of victory at my,

at my wonderful joke. A tramphan returned to the screen. Fantastic. Well, how are you both were sort of just at the end of the season?

1:54.1

I mean, which you didn't expect to be in November. Well, there are lots of, uh, lots of reasons for that.

1:59.1

But, um, how, how are you both rose and Aura? Good. Um, just kind of recovering from what has been just a crazy hectic, very most exciting bike racing.

2:10.1

You've ever seen season. I found it all are just like thrived on the manic nature of it. But I'm, I'm just glad, glad to be having a rest now.

2:21.1

To be honest. I am buzzing. I'm literally buzzing. I just, I loved it way more than I thought even I would.

2:29.1

And I was a bit worried that I'd be overwhelmed by everything, you know, and that there would be too much racing all at once.

2:34.1

And, and it might end up feeling a little bit flat, especially if the racing wasn't quite up to our expectation.

2:40.1

But I was saying earlier, like the day of Flanders, for example, it was like getting to Christmas and just, I just planting your head in a box of chocolates and just, and just, you know,
