| 0:12.0 | My name is Joe Dombraski. I ride for UAE team Emirates and this is my fifth |
| 0:18.7 | Gerald Italia. Gerald Italia stage seven today we started in Matara which I actually didn't know so much about and |
| 0:28.2 | you know rarely do I get to pay much attention to the starts and finishes but |
| 0:32.5 | incredible town. I think Frebe said that it was the third oldest consistently |
| 0:40.9 | inhabited town in the world. That might be fake news but I'm pretty sure I |
| 0:46.9 | saw it on Frebe's Twitter feed so guess it depends what you believe what sort of |
| 0:52.5 | news he's hawking anyway. But in any case it was it was meant to be a pretty easy day |
| 0:59.0 | today with the exception of if there was wind and the wind was howling in my |
| 1:04.2 | window in the hotel last night so I had a feeling that today was going to be not |
| 1:08.4 | the day that everyone had hoped for. And yeah it was just a lot of stress. I was not in the |
| 1:15.6 | first group from 5k and eventually came back and was involved in this crash at |
| 1:22.9 | 45k to go which was pretty much from the banner. Once we hit 50k to go every 5k is |

| 1:35.0 | a billboard of sorts for sponsors which obviously they generate revenue from |
| 1:42.2 | and for whatever reason they often position these arches in a way that the |
| 1:50.5 | road is a bit of a pinch point and on a day like today when there's so much |
| 1:54.4 | stress in the peloton with the wind and everyone wanting to be at the front you |
| 1:58.8 | know the road the riders are from one end of the road to the other and that |
| 2:04.5 | was caused a big crash with a lot of guys behind it was probably a third or |
| 2:09.5 | half way through the group that the crash happened. So I was caught up in that |
| 2:14.0 | and I had to change the bike and eventually came back to the bunch around 20k |
