Hi, John, and hi, Gordon. What they're talking about is this continuing dream that's been

concocted by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney to diversify Canada's economy away from incredibly heavy reliance on exporting

to the United States to exporting and generally doing business with various other countries.

Now, that's a perfectly understandable goal.

Given the fact that roughly 80% of Canada's exports do go to the United States

currently, and that amounts to about 25% of their entire economic output. But at the same time,

Parney has developed this completely loony idea that trading and doing business with China

can start to substitute effectively for trading and doing your business with the United States.

And he's clearly become trumply deranged.

And this is what U.S. trade representative Greer is reacting against.

In particular, Carney's decision to start opening Canada's doors to very substantial imports of Chinese electronic vehicles.
