Wintertime blues? If you feel down, low on energy, or unmotivated during the winter months, it’s not just self sabotaging behavior on your part, and it’s not just you either. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) – a form of depressive illness related to the seasons, generally beginning in the fall and continuing throughout the winter – affects around 10 million people in the US and many more worldwide. However- it’s important to make the distinction between SAD & plain old winter time blues, which most people tend to experience during the dreary winter months.
