The investigation into Bill Little's murder was riddled with them.

Bloomington was a small town, and people began talking about what happened at the Clark station immediately.

Bill was killed because of a drug debt, or a gambling debt, or maybe it was because he was going to snitch on the people responsible for a string of robberies.

Or maybe some guy people just didn't like did it.

It's amazing as I'm reading through all of the police reports and listening to interviews how many people begin a conversation with what they know.

And then as time goes on, what they know morphs into what they heard.

No one seems to actually know anything.

And this rumor mill still exists today.

I've had several people either reach out to me directly or through other sources to tell me that they might have some critical information,

but they're afraid that if they talk, they'll be killed.

They're afraid of a violent group or gang called the North Ciders.
