Narnia Month, The Magician's Nephew Part 1, Chapters 1 to 8.

Welcome, everyone. Here on Pints with Jack, we're reading our way through the works of

C.S. Lewis. I'm David, and I'm joined by my co-host Matt and not father, but Uncle Andrew. I've been waiting for this for so long.

This season, we've been finding ourselves among the stars reading through C.S. Lewis's first

science fiction book in his trilogy, Out of the Silent Planet. But today we're not traveling to

Malacandra, but to another world, to Narnia, as we begin the penultimate entry in the Chronicles

of Narnia, The Magician's Nephew. And I'm very pleased to announce that today we're

joined by Father Andrew's better half, Dr. Kristen Ditchfield-Lazzo. Kristen, welcome back to Pites for Jack.

Oh, it's so great to be back with you guys. I'm really excited for this episode. It always

cleans up our behavior anyway. I'm particularly excited, actually, because I'm just good.

This is the first time I mentioned as listeners.

I might push back a bit on this whole chronological publication order thing.

I have some new thoughts now that I've officially read the book.

I've had no thoughts.

I've had to take everything as is because I've never read magician's nephew.
