Welcome, everyone. Here on Pints for Jack, we're reading our way through the works of

C.S. Lewis. And as I mentioned in our inaugural episode this season, we're reading Out of the Silent

Planet, and that we'd also occasionally be interviewing guests who have written books about

the Ransom trilogy, but that day is not today.

In this episode, we have back on the podcast, a former guest of the show, Dr. Louis Marcos,

And for those of you who are unfamiliar with our guest, Dr. Louis Marcos is a professor of

English and a scholar in residence at Houston Baptist University, where he holds the Robert

H. Ray Chair in Humanities.

He teaches courses on film, on the classics, British and

Romantic Victorian Poetry and Prose, as well as on C.S. Lewis and J.R. Tolkien. His first

appearance on Pines for Jack was when we were reading through The Great Divorce, and he spoke to us

about afterlife in the Western poetic tradition. And he returned in season four to talk about his book,

Myth Made Fact, about how we can read Greek and Roman mythology through Christian eyes.
