Welcome, everyone, here on Pinesu Jack, we're working our way through the works of C.S. Lewis.

My name is Matt, and I'm joined by my co-host, Andrew, and David.

This season, we find ourselves among the stars reading through the first book of C.S. Lewis's

Science Fiction Trilogy, Out of the Silent Planet.

In today's episode, we're going to begin our main book of this season. So whether you read it many times or this is your first time

through, don't worry, we're going to be going through a chapter by chapter. We're going to be

guiding you through this. It's going to be a lovely journey. And we cannot wait to have some

fun banter back and

forth as we hopefully drop one or two tidbits of knowledge throughout this journey.

And before we dive in though, David, since I know you picked the title of this episode,

What's Roadhouse? Well, as mentioned in our season's inaugural episode, Lewis doesn't give any chapter names

in Out of the Silent Planet.

So this season, we're going to be naming each episode after a movie title.
