Summary

Audre Lorde speaks about walking into a room full of Black folx and not knowing whether her skinfolk are really her people. That is what the episode this week is about. More specifically, this episode is about making space for Black Trans people. This week Terri and Dom are joined by one of Dom’s former students, Eryn Scott. They are a BIPOC LGBT advocate, freelance researcher and cultural worker. There is a lot many of us do not know and this conversation is an opportunity for us to open our minds and hearts to learn how to affirm the Black Trans folx in our lives. Take a listen. Share with your friends and family. Engage in the difficult dialogue.

Quote of the Day:
"It's annoying because I feel like the conversations I'm having with white people about the right to life for black people are the same conversations I'm having with black people about the right to exist for trans people." - Londoner Nic
