Today on Live Well Anyway, MacKenzie is chatting with Katie Duckett all about friendship, specifically as it relates to supporting a friend coming out of an abusive situation. Katie gives some great advice on keeping Jesus at the center of friendships and giving each other grace. MacKenzie shares some practical ways in which she and Katie have helped each other over the years in different seasons. MacKenzie emphasizes the difference that it made to have friends like Katie who believed her and did not make her prove anything. Katie tells about some of the warning signs she saw in MacKenzie’s life leading up to her escape and how she has changed and grown since then. They also go over having a plan of action with your support system, having friends who will hold hope, and moving forward in assurance that God will take care of you.
