Hello and welcome to Series 6 episode 7 of Out with Susie Ruffle. Hello, I hope that you're doing well whenever you're listening to this.

I am coming to you from my new house which feels very very exciting. Those

you that have been listening to the podcast for a while know that it's been quite a

long journey for us to get to our new location and to start our new

life by the sea so it's very exciting to be coming to you from what will

eventually be my office but I'm going to be honest with you I'm sitting on the

floor and the

laptop is on a box which has a skateboard inside it I'm 36 I've bought a new

skateboard I've also got a bit of a back problem is Is that a good idea? Who knows? I guess we'll find out.

But I'm very excited to be coming to you from here. I wonder if you could hear the trains in the background. There was a train that just went by maybe you heard it. I'm getting very used to living next to a train line. I wonder whether it would annoy me, but actually it's really soothing. They go until maybe one or two in the morning.

Sometimes when I wake up like the little rumble of the train

that's not too far from my front door,

it's actually really sort of gently lulls me off to sleep. It's quite satisfying.

As ever there was some lovely emails about last week's episode with Paula.

I loved that episode. I thought it was

really different and really interesting and something we've dealt into

before with history but I've never really spoken to a historian about sort of

what they're writing about and what they're thinking about and hearing about

Paula's dissertation and her upcoming book. I just found so much of what she had to say

fascinating and I really hope that you all enjoyed that episode as much as I did and from the

messages I got it sounds like you definitely did so thank you so much for that.
