For the last two weeks, we have presented to you the Prosecution's case against Sandy Melgar

You've now heard firsthand Sandy's first police interrogation, which is what led the police to suspecting her to begin with

And then you heard from prosecutor Colleen Barnett who made her case for guilt to you

At this point this season has been somewhat one sided

We've done something that we typically haven't done before in presenting the guilty side of this argument first

And now it's time to see if the investigation holds up under scrutiny

And this is also a little bit out of order for us

Typically before we get to this point, we cover the crime scene and develop a profile

And even take a deep dive into all of the police documents

But with this case, things are a little bit different

This investigation is the closest thing that we've ever done to real-time crowdsourcing

You're getting information at the same time I get it

So far, we've already obtained a lot of crime scene photos and a lot of documents

There's also still a lot that we don't have

By the time you hear this episode, hopefully Mike and I will abandon the District Attorney's office in Houston

to get copies of the rest of the police and the prosecutors file

We're tying all this in with our trip down to Texas for Edward Aits release
