And the idea as kind of an entrepreneur and an engineer that I couldn't get out of my head was the connection between the things we buy, the data about the things we buy and our health.

What I couldn't shake loose was this idea that we don't have even access to that own basic information.

You know, the technology is not the problem, right?

And so the idea back then that I really couldn't shake loose was this connection

between purchase information and health.

Really some puzzle pieces came together for me in my career over many years after that.

That was the aha moment.

Adam Newman grew up in the suburbs of New York and Brooklyn.

Now he lives in the D.C. Maryland area.

His grandparents were immigrants and owned a bakery and were tailors, so the entrepreneur and self-starter characteristics found in Adam are deeply

rooted. He's married with four kids and loves to spend lots of time outdoors and living vicariously

through his children's sports activities.

He spends a lot of time helping his wife grow her education business, and she spends a lot of time

supporting and encouraging him with his ventures. Through his life experiences, including losing
