Summary

Lisa Eldfrick is the daughter of Jack Phillips, the Colorado baker who faced years of backlash and legal battles after declining to create a same-sex wedding cake. Through intense public scrutiny and threats as they stood firm in their convictions, the Lord reignited Lisa's faith and brought her family closer to Him than ever before.

Welcome back to the Strong Women podcast. I'm so glad you guys are here this week. This week, my guest is Lisa Eldfrick. Now, Lisa is the daughter of Jack Phillips. And at the Colson Center, we are a huge fan of Jack Phillips and his whole family. And we have walked alongside him through the last 13 or 14 years where he has really been persecuted for his faith and for his

0:21.7

beliefs. You're going to hear more of that story throughout our conversation with Lisa. But all this

0:26.7

time that Jack was going through these trials and being accused of things and standing strong and

0:34.6

faithful, well, his family was right alongside with him. In fact, Lisa works at

0:39.9

the cake shop with him and was there the amazing day that their lives changed? And I'm not going to

0:47.5

tell you more about that right now because you're going to find out about that in this episode.

0:52.9

But I'm excited to have Lisa and to hear her story.

0:55.6

I'm also excited about the impact that Jack's faith has had on so many people, including

1:03.8

those closest to him, in his own family. And you're going to hear how Lisa's faith grew throughout

1:09.8

this time as well.

1:11.7

Now, if you have not heard Jack's whole story, you can hear more about it on the new

1:18.2

groundbreaking documentary called Truth Rising that the Colson Center put out with

1:23.8

focus on the family. In this documentary, it exposes the crisis of Western civilization

1:30.2

that we find ourselves in, showcasing many stories, including Jack Phillips, of courageous

1:37.1

Christians that encourage us as ordinary Christians to stand strong in the faith and to proclaim the truth and the beauty of it.

1:47.4

Truth Rising is really a call for Christians around the world to see, believe, and act.

1:53.5

To see this moment, this critical moment in Western civilization, to believe that we are actually

2:00.3

called to this moment on purpose by God,

2:04.6

and to act with clarity, confidence, and conviction right where we are in our little corners of

2:11.5

the world. And so I can't wait to bring you this story with Lisa because it demonstrates this very thing,

2:18.6

the see, believe, and act.

2:20.4

But you guys, you have to see Truth Rising.
