Pines with Jack is your weekly CS Lois podcast, where Andrew Matt and I break down and discuss

the works of CS Lewis.

We're now in the home stretch of season five, wrapping up the season with a few interviews,

and today I'm speaking to Dr. Peter Craft.

Today's episode was originally going to be a different guest,

but our guests fell through, and so this interview was originally going to be published in season

six. So you lucky things, you get it an entire season early. I would hope that if you're listening

to this podcast, that you are already quite familiar with

Dr. Craft.

But if you're not, we've got a real treat for you today, because he is a wonderful speaker,

an amazing author of an obscene number of books.

And his books are on all the topics that we love, on C.S. Lewis, Tolkien, philosophy, prayer, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Augustine. He is just incredible.

And I've heard British people say that Peter Craft is the American C.S. Lewis. But I've also heard Americans say that C.S. Lewis was the British

Peter Craft. Now, I've already given something of an introduction, but to keep with the episode

format, let me just give a few points of biographical information. Dr. Peter Craved is a professor

of philosophy at Boston College. He loves all his grandchildren, as well as his four children, his one wife, his one cat, and his one God.

He is a well-known speaker and author of many books, including The Philosophy of Tolkien, How to Destroy Western Civilization, Prayer for Beginners, C.S. Lewis for the Third Millennium, and Jesus Shock.
