The investigation into Damien Eccles began with the presumption by Steve Jones and James

Sudbury that the murders of Stevie Michael and Christopher were a satanic, ritual killing.

The investigation into Eccles snowballed quickly as tips began to roll in implicating him in the crime.

After publishing this week's Friday follow-up, listener Shanna French provided a link to

a newspaper article dated May 11th, the day after Narleen Hollingsworth's interview.

In this article, we discover that the reward fund for tips leading to the conviction of

the killer or killers had grown to $25,000.

In the first few days of the investigation, we have police officers interviewing Damien Eccles,

Jason Baldwin, and Dominique Tier and Jason's front yard for everyone in the trailer

park to see, and allegedly officers are passing around a picture of Eccles asking for tips.

We also have a reward being advertised that likely exceeds the medium annual income for

many people living in the trailer park.

This was the climate surrounding the Lake Shore State's trailer park when Narleen Hollingsworth

first called in her tip.

Our job is to break down the tip, interview, and trial testimony of Narleen in order to

determine if her eyewitness account was a legitimate tip, or if it was nothing more than

an attempt to collect on the reward money.
