Hello and welcome to the Scriptures Real podcast.

I'm your host, Kerry Mealstein, and I am so excited about this week's episode.

I'm also so excited about what is coming up just this month in general in the beginning of next month,

because we're entering Easter season. And I have been so in love with making it a real

season where we are focusing on Christ and what we can learn about Christ and celebrating Christ

and being grateful for Christ during this Easter season.

We're going to, in next week's episode, highlight elements of Joseph being a symbol or a type of

Christ. We're going to highlight that as we go through the Exodus story as well. We're going

to have during Holy Week, we're going to have special episodes each day where we help you

to come to appreciate Easter and that

Holy Week and what you can do each day of the Holy Week and how you can celebrate and worship

Christ. And as part of that, I actually want to let you know about an opportunity, a couple of opportunities.

One, there's going to be a Palm Sunday walk.

My wife and I put this on every year.

So I'll give you more details about that towards the end of the podcast or maybe part

way through, but be ready for that Palm Sunday walk.

But another one is a series of performances that are being put on by my friend Jenny Oaks Baker.

And many of you have heard of Jenny Oaks Baker.

She is often called America's violinist.

I'll let her tell more of her own story, but she is someone who, like Joseph, is consecrated.

And Joseph of Egypt I'm talking about,

and when things she had choices to make, she chose to follow God and to use all of her talents and abilities to bring people to God. And so she does remind me of Joseph of Egypt in that
