We then teamed up with our machine learning team to look at the results of our customers

year over year at chain-wide scale.

So how much waste was there with the fresh versus how much was there before.

Earlier this year, we learned that we prevented almost 5 million pounds of food waste and

that meant in the 100 million range

for greenhouse gas emission, pounds prevented, and similarly hundreds of millions of gallons

of water loss prevented.

That, for me, was an incredibly impactful moment.

I got a little bit emotional just thinking that this scrappy small team was able to have that

big of an impact.
